On March 14th, the NEU "Xinhai" Scholarship Award Ceremony and Part-time Professor Appointment Ceremony was held in the Mechanical Building of NEU. In order to commend students with excellent academic performance and outstanding scientific research ability, according to the "Xinhai Education Fund Management Measures of the School of Resources and Civil Engineering of Northeastern University", a total of 3 doctoral students, 14 master's students, and 26 undergraduates won the 2025 Northeastern University "Xinhai" Scholarship.

Chairman Zhang Yunlong presented awards to the winning doctoral and master's students, and Assistant to the Chairman Ms. Ma Xiangqin presented awards to the winning undergraduates. 02Deepen cooperation and seek common development

In order to further promote school-enterprise cooperation and promote technological development in the field of mineral engineering, a ceremony for the appointment of part-time professors was also held. Mr. Zhang Yunlong was appointed as an adjunct professor at NEU and shared his valuable experience in the mining field. Mr. Zhang Yunlong was awarded the Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (FAusIMM) and served as a director of the fifth board of directors of Northeastern University. He also served as a part-time professor at four domestic universities (Shandong University of Science and Technology, Shandong University of Technology, Wuhan University of Technology, and Heilongjiang University of Science and Technology).
